The Summer days are almost over and as Fall approaches, so does the time to switch things up and tailor your overall beauty and skincare habits to the cooler climate. Changing your skin care habits in the Fall is essential to ensure a healthy and always beautiful complexion but if you still don't know how to do this, rest assured! We have selected the main practices to include in your daily skincare care routine so your skin can look flawless for the Fall and beyond:

1 - AVOID HOT SHOWERS AT ALL COSTS

As Fall comes, we tend gravitate towards hot showers in order to have a relaxing moment and warm ourselves up, but listen: hot water is one of the main culprits behind skin problems, such as dryness because it strips the natural oiliness of the skin out. Dead cells are removed ahead of time with high temperatures, making the cell renewal process difficult and having consequences for the health of your skin. So, invest in warm, quick baths instead of lengthy, hot showers or baths.

2 - CHANGE YOUR SKIN CLEANSING HABITS

To ensure that the skin does not dehydrate and become dry, improve your daily cleaning during this season by using exfoliants and soaps to remove dead cells. The ideal scenario is to exfoliate at least once a week and top it all of with the right sunscreen and potent moisturizer afterwards.

 3 - WEAR SUNSCREEN

One of the biggest mistakes you can make in your skincare routine is putting the sunscreen away as soon as the summer is over. Even with cold and clouds, UV rivers still penetrate the skin and cause changes in the molecules. Thus, daily use of sunscreen, both in the Fall and in other seasons, is a fundamental step to always have healthy skin.

4 - DRINK MORE WATER THAN YOU NORMALLY DO!

The skin is the largest organ in our body and therefore it needs special attention. In the same way that water is essential to maintain our physical health, it is able to rejuvenate epithelial tissues, hydrating the entire body. Keep in mind that Fall is a drier season, which can facilitate dry skin. Drinking at least two liters of water a day keeps the dermis hydrated and prevents these drying out processes.
