3 THINGS YOU SHOULD NEVER DO IF YOU WANT CLEAR SKIN
Never use cotton pillow cases
One of the disadvantages of a cotton pillowcase is that it has the ability to absorb cosmetics, making our skin absorb less product and causing results appear more slowly. A silk pillowcase does not present this problem and allows the skin to benefit from all the properties of our beauty products. In addition, silk protein does not absorb moisture, so it does not dry the skin and helps maintain dermal balance.
Silk is one of the softest materials we can find and the most gentle for our skin. Due to its hypoallergenic and has a calming effect, silk is the most recommended material for sensitive, irritated or atopic skin. In addition, if you have acne or eczema, silk will prevent the problem from spreading from some areas of the skin to others.
Never dry your face with a towel
Several problems can arise at the same time with the use of towels. First, the damp cloth is the perfect habitat for the breeding of bacteria. Second, rubbing your face with a towel damages your skin.
But what to do instead? Well, don’t dry your face at all and instead, wait a few seconds after washing your face, until the skin is not completely wet, and start your routine. This is the ideal way to go about it as when the skin is still moist, it absorbs any product that we put on top much better, enhancing its effects. But, if you are not fast enough, don’t worry, you can always use a thermal water to achieve the same effect. If you are really adamant about drying your skin though, using a paper towel is the best way to go about it.
Never wash your skin with hot water
Hot water may be pleasant, but not too hot, as it removes all the natural protection and oil from the skin, as if it drains our pores. Often we may even find that removing all the oil will be beneficial, but it is not. For dry skin, dryness intensifies, and for oily skin, there is a known rebound effect: the skin perceives to be dehydrated and produces more and more oil.
